This isn't really the definitive experience that you get playing on PC, nor is it the sub-par experience from the Xbox or Playstation ports. You have no way of communicating with people in pubs, unless you are sitting right next to them or using apps like discord. I don't know if Nintendo Switch Online's voice chat works on this, but judging it upon its launch, this game instantly gets gut-punched on the get-go. When I began playing, there was no voice chat, nor was there a text chat. But, there are several issues with this port that just. I can't say I wasn't disappointed, Its payday 2 on the go. Personally the lack of communication isn't an deal breaker or major issue for me. Usually, pubs just know what to do from guides or monkeying other pubs. As for the lack of any means for communication, I don't recall the last time I felt the need to communicate with pubs in the 140 hours I spent on the PC version of the game. The core experience from home console versions has been brought to the Switch with this adequate (and not great) port. If you love Payday 2 and wish to play it anywhere other than home, then you will probably have a blast with the port. In short, if you hate Payday 2, you'll really hate the Switch port. The game does have bugs and very rarely does get stuck on loading screens, but these issues were all solved with a simple and quick soft reset of the game. In my experience, Beneath the Sky was the only mission unpleasant to play through due to an overall low frame rate. Yes, there are occasional frame rate drops - how tolerable they are to you depends on how much you like the core gameplay. Yes, it isn't the prettiest game - it never was even back when it first launched. If you love Payday 2 to the extent of wanting to play it outside of your home, you'll have a great time with this imperfect port. If you love Payday 2 to the extent of wanting For those who have played Payday 2 before, the Switch version is the same game you love or hate.
